CARE
International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large
scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional
activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development
initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit. 

CARE Indonesia  in Makassar  is currently recruiting the following position for its project: 
  
JOB TITLE :    COMMUNITY FACILITATOR (CF)


DEPARTMENT/PROJECT :    PROGRAM/KOTA-II


REPORTS TO :    PROJECT OFFICER (PO)


    
 
JOB SUMMARY
 
This position will be responsible to the Project Manager, but technically will be supervised by Project officers. Community Facilitator (CF) will work together with CARE project Staff and other partner to design, planning and implementing activities in community with related institutions.
  
  
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
 
1.       Work with in co-operation with Local Government, opinion leaders, religious groups, and community based organizations (CBOs), etc across the target areas, providing information to the community about WATSAN and its components. 
 
2.      Organize meetings or events together with the village leaders and or water committee for the purpose of project implementation
 
3.      Facilitate and assist community organization to manage WSS and health and hygiene education, reflecting gender equity and poverty targeting principles.
 
4.      Build community capacity and assist community in developing the Community Action Plan (CAP), constructing WSS facilities selected by the community, and managing the O&M of the improved WSS facilities. This will include the following:
 
5.      Address complaints and questions about the project and help ensure transparency in all project implementation and decision making.
 
6.      Monitor and evaluate project activities in community level, in coordination with Monitoring & Evaluation Officers. 
 
7.      Provide timely and accurate progress reports for the supervisor and other partners as appropriate 
 
8.      Monthly Update of Project Activities Reports (Including database, indicator tracking tables, etc)
 
9.      Other tasks may reasonably requested by supervisor

1.      Have a degree Environmental/  SI Civil Engineering
1. At least 3 years experience working with international and local non government organizations
2. Familiarity with community level participatory approaches
3. Proven good ability as a Facilitator
4. Facility with Excel and Word
5. Demonstrated capacity to work as a team member

International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the alleviation of human
suffering through community-based health programs. We perform our work in
isolated regions connected to us through surfing and are professional, highly
energized, innovative and youthful in our outlook. Our main program areas are
Community Based Health, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Health (Water and
Sanitation) and Malaria prevention.

We
are now seeking for a Media and Database
Officer for the Emergency Preparedness Program with the duty station in Padang. The Media and Database officer will
report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator E-Prep.  This position is intended for Indonesian
nationals only.

The role is
responsible for developing and support in training and promoting the Disaster
Risk Reduction in the targeted areas through the development of existing
campaign materials and to adapt the materials to suit the local culture. Interaction
with SAI staff and program beneficiaries is important together with a detailed
understanding of community issues. In conducting his/her duties and
responsibilities, field visits will be frequent. 



Requirements



The successful
applicant will hold a university degree in relevant discipline or equivalent to
community facilitation experience with at least 2 years experiences in program
monitoring and evaluation, developing DRR promotion media, community
facilitation or community social work.



In
addition, it will be preferable for the successful applicant to possess
experience in:



·       
Experience of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)
or Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) programs and/or emergency
response programs

·       
Experience in developing DRR media
promotion, i.e., through development of posters, movie, leaflets, calendars,
books, etc

·       
The development of DRR campaign strategy to
be utilized in the community level and the elementary schools.

·       
Experience in developing the database and
maintaining it through the course of program.

·       
Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills and a commitment to working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural
environment.

·       
Computing skills, including knowledge of
Word and Excel

·       
High personal standards, political and
religious sensitivity and possess the qualities of patience, tact and
diplomacy.

·       
Ability to work in a team.

M&E Consultant - UNODC Indonesia

UNODC Indonesia Country Office is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation
Consultant to work across all projects currently being implemented. The job
description of the M&E Consultant is as follows:

I. Position Information

Title: Junior Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant

Department/Unit: UNODC Indonesia

Reports to: Country Manager

Duty Station: Jakarta, Indonesia

Duration of Assignment: From: December 2010 to November 2011

II. Background Information

UNODC is currently implementing a range of anti-corruption projects in
partnership with Government of Indonesia and civil society. These projects
involve provision of specialized anti-corruption training to improve the
operational, technical and coordination capabilities of key institutions
mandated to investigate and prosecute corruption cases, small grants to
civil society to combat corruption and support to the Government of
Indonesia's national anti-corruption strategy. In addition, UNODC is working
with Indonesia to combat illegal logging and to address governance issues
within the forestry sector.

III. Objectives of Assignment

The consultant will work across UNODC's project portfolio to assist ensure
that adequate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place including
baselines and monitoring tools for project activities.

IV. Scope of work Expected Results/Deliverables/Final Products Expected

Under the supervision of the Country Manager the milestones to be achieved
by the consultant will include:

* Assist and contribute to project monitoring and evaluation
initiatives, including data collection, analysis and reporting for all of
UNODC's projects (X14,T12,T81,T95 &T71)
* Develop productive working relations with key government, NGO and
donor partners to facilitate data collection and information sharing
* Assist implementation of UNODC's monitoring and evaluation guidance,
procedures, tools, and policies to further advance monitoring and evaluation
across project teams
* Assist to prepare monitoring and evaluation reports and other
quality reports for donors and government of Indonesia
* Develop good working relations with partner organizations.
Contribute actively to a monitoring and learning community within UNODC and
among partner organizations
* Any other tasks as required relating to the monitoring and
evaluation of the anti-corruption projects

V. Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

. Proven cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;

. Knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation

. Knowledge of aid effectiveness principles

. Strong research skills;

. Ability to support UNODC project staff in monitoring and
evaluation

. Ability to facilitate seminars and workshops using participatory
techniques

. Ability to apply good judgment in the context of assignments given
as well planning and managing work and priorities;

. Ability to communicate well (spoken and written) in English,
including ability to draft/edit written reports, and to articulate ideas in
a clear and concise style.

. Excellent computer skills

. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and
maintain effective partnerships and working relations in a multi-cultural,
multi-ethnic environment with the sensitivity and respect of diversity
including gender balance

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors university degree in social research, monitoring and evaluation or
related disciplines or equivalent academic training.

Experience:

. At least 3 years practical experience working in monitoring and
evaluation of development projects

. Experience working with project implementation and design

Language Requirements:

Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

VII. OTHER SELECTION CRITERIA

The Consultant must have excellent communication and facilitation skills as
well as strong interpersonal skills. He/she must have good organizational
and planning skills.

Job Summary:
Mobilize and identify health workers.
Conduct baseline survey to assess the extent of HIV and AIDS awareness in the target areas.
Conduct focus group discussion among the health volunteers and community to analyze the HIV and AIDS cases based on the baseline survey.
Assist in setting up of goals based on the malnutrition situation among the priority areas.
Conduct monitoring and promotion among the beneficiaries.
Facilitate positive deviance inquiry among the community members.
Design HIV and AIDS awareness program based on the positive deviance inquiry findings.
Conduct the Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT).
Facilitate the consultancy to the beneficiaries regarding to HIV and AIDS, Sexual Transmitted Disease, Reproductive Health, Family Planning.
Train and facilitate health workers in conducting vitamin supplementation among children.
Ensure implementation of all activities based on the agreement, approved proposal and budget.
Prepare and submit timely, quality reports as required.
