Project Coordinator Central Kalimantan
Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta is a Kalimantan-based foundation that is striving to improve the quality of governance and well-being in areas affected by mineral development activities. The main focus is on participatory community development through capacity-building and economic livelihood support.
YTS is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to supervise and manage its 10-person field team that is working in 20 Dayak villages in the upper Kahayan watershed in Gunung Mas District in Central Kalimantan. YTS's programming is based on a participatory approach and methodology, and candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with this approach and philosophy.
YTS programs are dynamic and multi-faceted, and candidates must be capable of dealing with variety and the unexpected demands that arise from constantly evolving circumstances.
These are the main requirements for this position:
· At least five years field-based experience with participatory development programs
· Very strong personnel management and team-building skills
· Knowledge and understanding of government planning procedures at Kabupaten level
· Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals and organisations - villagers, government officials, donor agencies, civil society organisations, and resource companies
· Excellent interpersonal and social communication skills
· Must be fully fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, English and preferably local Dayak
· A university degree in a relevant discipline
· Willing and able to travel and work in remote areas
· Good computer skills - MS Office, internet
